Mod Mosaic Block Drive Finish from Kat & Cat Quilts

 

Happy Friday, Quilters! It's the first block drive finish since we started back up. These three quilts are from the Mod Mosaic block drive we did in Jan-March this year. 


I sent all the blocks we got in to Linda and she assembled and quilted them. I actually love how these came out. They look better in person than they do in the photos. 


There were enough blocks to make three quilts. They are just over 60" square with the borders added. 


See if anyone can spot how we laid them out. I'll give you a little hint ...

January 2024 CiL Block Drive from Kat & Cat Quilts

 At long last I am pleased to announce another Covered in Love block drive! This drive will run from January - March (3 months). 

In case you haven't ever participated before, the idea in a nutshell is that you can make as many or as few blocks as you like. Contact coveredinlovetx@gmail.com for the mailing address and try to have them in the mail by the end of March. All the blocks received will be combined into quilts for families who lose loved ones in east Texas hospitals.

Playing With Color (More Catching Up!) from The Quilting Hermit

I've made several Mod Mosaic quilts (back between 2010-2012), though I apparently only blogged about one of them as a WIP. Still, it's a super fun block to do with scraps. When my quilt guild put out a call for quilts to auction at the quilt show in February of 2017 I made two mini mosaic quilts. The theme for the show was the color red, so I did both with my red scraps and did one with white spacers and one with black.
